Once upon a time, there was a grumpy old man named Mr. Scrooge. He didn't like Christmas at all, bah humbug!
Mr. Scrooge had a friend named Marley, but he was gone now. Mr. Scrooge never smiled and had no friends. He was always grumpy.
It was Christmas Eve, and everyone was busy getting ready for the holiday. But Mr. Scrooge was still grumpy, saying Christmas was all nonsense.
Mr. Scrooge's nephew, Fred, came to wish him a Merry Christmas, but Mr. Scrooge was mean and said Christmas was silly. His poor clerk Bob was always working.
On Christmas Day, Mr. Scrooge told Bob he had to come to work early the next day. Bob was sad, but he had to listen to Mr. Scrooge.
At night, three special visitors came to see Mr. Scrooge. They wanted to show him the true meaning of Christmas. Would Mr. Scrooge listen to them?
Mr. Scrooge learned to be kind and generous. He surprised everyone with gifts and smiles. From then on, Mr. Scrooge loved Christmas and everyone loved him back.
