Charlie's Bouncing Adventure

Once upon a time, in a sunny park with skies so light, Lived a young boy named Charlie, who saw a sight so bright. He stumbled upon a ball, round and orange in his path, And his heart jumped with joy - ready for a math. 'What's this?' asked Charlie, picking up the ball, It bounced with a rhythm that seemed like a call.

Swish-swish through the air, the ball soared high, Over the trees, under the blue sky. Charlie dribbled left, then dribbled right, With a happy little giggle full of delight. Up to the hoop, he took a shot, And guess what happened? He scored a lot!

He ran to the left, then dashed to the right, With the bouncing ball, he was a joyful sight. He learned to jump, and to spin, and to dance, With every dribble, dribble, dribble - he advanced. 'What fun is this game, with this bouncy play?' He thought with a grin, 'I could do this all day!'

'Who wants to join me in this game?' Charlie called out loud, by name. Some kids from nearby heard his plea, And came running quickly as could be. Together they played, laughed, and had fun, Under the warm, golden sun.

Charlie showed them how to dribble and shoot, Each basket they made was a real hoot. The ball went 'whoosh' through the net, chiming, While all the kids followed, their shoes were timing. Together they learned, under the sky so wide, That playing as a team filled them with pride.

As the sun began to set, painting skies in hue, Charlie knew basketball was something true. Something that brought friends and laughter near, Something to cherish, to enjoy, to hold dear. With a final swish-swish, the game came to a close, But Charlie's joy for this sport only rose.

Day ends with joy for basketball increasing.

Charlie whispered, 'Basketball, oh what a treasure, With you, my days are filled with pleasure. I'll come back tomorrow, to play and to roam, In this park you've made, my second home.' The stars twinkled down, as he walked away, Dreaming of more basketball he would play.
