Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Christopher who loved elephants and always wore his blue cap with an elephant on it. He went to the zoo with his mummy and daddy and always happily ran to the 'törööös', which is how he called the elephants.

At the zoo, Christopher met a friendly elephant named Ellie. She loved carrots and played with Christopher. But one day he noticed tears in Ellie's eyes.

Ellie whispered to Christopher, 'I can talk to special humans like you, and I can even change my size! I am really unhappy here and would love to leave this place. Can you help me?' Christopher promised to help Ellie escape from the zoo.

Just before the zoo closed, Ellie shrunk to the size of a toy elephant and Christopher kept her safe in his backpack while they sneaked out.
