Once upon a time in a forest so green, lived a clever crow named Cawleen. She had feathers as black as night, and eyes that sparkled with delight.
One sunny day, while flying high, Cawleen spotted a pitcher that caught her eye. 'Oh dear, oh my, what's that I see? A pitcher of water, just for me!' she sang with glee.
But alas, the water was down so low. How would Cawleen drink it? She didn't know. She fluttered down and peered inside, 'This won't do!' she cried.
Cawleen sat and thought for a while, then her eyes lit up with a sly smile. 'I know just what to do!' she cawed, feeling very shrewd.
She found some pebbles, smooth and small, each one would help her, she thought with a squall. One by one, she dropped them in, making a little splash and a grin.
Plop, plop, plop! The water rose and rose, up and up right to her nose! With each pebble, she felt more cheer, knowing her drink was near.
'What a clever corvid I am,' Cawleen said, and finally drank with a satisfied head. The water was cool, and oh so sweet, it felt like the best treat!
As she drank, she heard a clink-clink sound. 'Who's there?' she asked, looking around. From the bushes hopped a curious hare, with fur as brown as cocoa and quite a stare.
'How did you get that water, miss Crow?' asked Hoppy the hare with eyes aglow. Cawleen chuckled and fluffed her wings, 'It's simple, just a few clever things!'
From that day on, in the forest so grand, animals spread the tale through the land. Of Cawleen the crow and the water pitcher so neat, a story of cleverness that can't be beat.
So remember, dear friends, be sharp and bright. Think hard and smart, and you'll do alright. Just like Cawleen, who used her smarts, you too can have a clever heart!
The End.
