Darcy packed his bag. He wore his red space helmet. Today was special.

Mum waved goodbye. 'Take care of Artemis,' she said, smiling.

Artemis barked happily. His tail wagged. He licked Darcy's face.

They flew off to Mars. Stars zoomed past the spaceship window.

The spaceship landed with a thud. Mars was all around them.

They stepped out. Red dust puffed under their feet. Mars was quiet.

A strange plant moved. 'Hello,' it whispered. Darcy and Artemis listened.

The plant needed help. It couldn't find water. Darcy thought hard.

Together with Artemis, they found a shiny rock. Water dripped out.

The plant drank the water. It grew green and tall. 'Thank you,' it sang.

Darcy smiled. Artemis barked. They made a new friend on Mars.

It was time to return home. 'We'll be back,' promised Darcy.
