Dan was a boy, just six years old, who dreamed of adventures and finding gold. One sunny day, while skies were blue, he discovered something quite new!
In his backyard, under a tree, a hidden door he did see. He pushed it open, and to his surprise, out came a dinosaur, friendly and wise!
The dinosaur grinned, with teeth so bright, 'Hello! I'm Rex, let's take a flight!' So Dan climbed on, holding tight, up, up they soared, into the night.
They flew past stars, so twinkly and small, like glittering diamonds, they saw them all. 'Rex, this is awesome!' Dan did call. 'The best adventure, I do recall!'
They landed in a jungle, dense and green, with critters and creatures never seen. 'Let's explore!' Dan's eyes did gleam. 'This place is like a dream!'
They met a monkey swinging on a vine, who offered them bananas, 'These are fine!' Rex chuckled and took a bite, 'They're delicious, pure delight!'
They played with lions sturdy and strong, who roared a loud, lively song. Drums of the jungle, beating along, in this place, they felt they belong.
The sun began to set, painting the sky, with colors of orange and pink, oh my! 'Time to head back,' Rex waved goodbye, to their new friends as they flew high.
They zipped through nighttime clouds so fluffy, with winds that blew them softly. 'Rex, will this end?' Dan asked, quite chummy. 'The fun? Never!' Rex said, warm and scruffy.
Back to the tree, they finally did go, with stars above and moonlight's glow. Dan hugged Rex and whispered low, 'Best friends forever, this I know.'
Rex nodded, his eyes all aglow, 'Until next time, our adventures grow.' Dan waved as Rex went away, disappearing by the break of day.
Dan woke up in his bed so snug, thinking of Rex, he gave his pillow a hug. Adventures await, this he knew, with his Dino friend, every dream came true.
