In a fairytale land, there lived a dragon so grand, Who loved to feast on every treat he could land. Roaming through the mountains, feeling mighty and strong, But little did he know his appetite was quite wrong. His name was Draco, a dragon so fierce, With scales of gold, shining like a pierce. His belly was round, always ready to be fed, Oh, he had quite a reputation, it must be said.
Draco sniffed the air, searching high and low, For the tastiest morsels that would make his heart glow. Roasting sheep, scrumptious pigs, and cattle aplenty, But he never realized his food choices were one too many. He gobbled up the haystacks and the haystack's hay, Munched on the trees, boulders, rocks of gray. He even tried to swallow a river, oh so wide, But alas, his stomach just couldn't properly abide.
With each day passing, his appetite did grow, Draco's greediness was starting to clearly show. He ate the baker's oven, smelling sweet and warm, Dined on fields of wheat like there was no harm. But one fine day, Draco did something quite rare, He tried to eat the moon while floating in the air. With a mighty gulp, he swallowed it whole, And suddenly, the night lost its magical soul.
With the moon in his belly, Draco felt a pang, His insides ached, causing him to do a dragon dance. He burped mighty flames, trying to set it all alight, But the moon within his stomach just didn't feel right. Oh, how Draco wished he could turn back time, To spit out the moon, let it again gracefully shine. He learned his lesson, greed comes at a cost, And no amount of eating could replace what is forever lost.
So now, dear friends, remember Draco's tale, About a dragon whose greed led him to fail. Enjoy your meals, but in moderation and care, For too much indulgence is a heavy burden to bear.
