Ella awoke with a big, bright grin, for today was the start, a new adventure would begin!
With her backpack packed and shoes tied tight, she felt a mixture of excitement and slight fright.
The sun shone brightly, birds sang a tune, in Ella’s heart, flowers seemed to bloom.
Down the path, and around the bend, she knew at school she'd make a friend.
"Pitter-patter, pitter-patter," went her shoes, as she sang, 'Kindergarten, here come the news!'
Ms. Honeybee, kind with a smile so sweet, welcomed Ella with a fun and playful greet.
Ella met new friends, like Max and Sue, who shared their crayons and their glue.
They crafted castles, blue and green, creating magic, like a fairy dream.
"Honk! Honk!" went the friendly school bus, after lunch, outside with no rush.
Ella learned letters, numbers too, and made a clay cat named Lou.
When the day ended, she had no blues, for she knew, tomorrow had more hues.
With a head full of stories, a heart full of glee, she couldn’t wait until she could again see Ms. Honeybee!
