Emma was a brave little girl who lived by a green hill. She had a white goat named Gus.
One sunny morning, Emma and Gus looked at the tall mountain. 'Let's find the top!' said Emma.
They packed snacks and water. Gus wore a little backpack. 'Ready, Gus?' Emma asked.
They walked past flowers and trees. Butterflies danced around them. 'It’s beautiful!' Emma grinned.
After a while, they reached a river. 'How will we cross?' wondered Emma. Gus bleated.
'Look, a log bridge!' Emma pointed. They carefully crossed, listening to the water below.
They met a bird with a hurt wing. 'Oh no!' Emma said. 'Let's help.' They made a soft splint.
'Thank you,' chirped the bird. 'I’ll sing for you.' The bird sang a sweet, happy song.
Up and up they climbed. 'It’s steep,' panted Gus. Emma held his hoof. 'We can do it!'
They found a patch of berries. 'Yum!' said Emma. 'A perfect snack.' Gus nibbled the leaves.
The sun began to set, painting the sky in colors. 'Look, Gus! We're almost there!'
At last, they reached the top. The village looked so tiny. 'We did it,' Emma hugged Gus. 'We did it together.'
