Hi, my name is Giovanni. Today, I am going to the dentist for the first time. I am a little bit nervous but my mom and dad say it will be okay. We get into the car and I sit in my car seat. Mom plays my favorite song to help me feel better. We drive for a little while until we reach the dentist's office.
When we walk into the dentist's office, I see a nice lady at the front desk. She smiles at me and says, 'Hello, Giovanni! Welcome to the dentist's office.' Mom helps me check-in and then we sit down in the waiting area. There are toys and books to play with while we wait. I pick a book about dinosaurs and start reading.
After a little while, a dental hygienist comes to get me. She is wearing a mask and gloves to keep everything clean. She takes me to a special room with a big, comfy chair. The chair can go up and down and it has a special light that shines in my mouth. I think it's cool! The hygienist helps me climb onto the chair and puts a napkin around my neck to keep me clean.
Next, the hygienist gives me a pair of sunglasses to wear. They feel a little funny on my face, but they help protect my eyes from the bright light. She also gives me a toothbrush and a special toothpaste that tastes like bubblegum. I like bubblegum! The hygienist shows me how to brush my teeth properly and she counts my teeth so I know how many I have.
After I finish brushing, the dentist comes to see me. He is very nice and gentle. He looks inside my mouth using a tiny mirror and a small tool. It tickles a little bit, but it doesn't hurt. The dentist tells me that my teeth are healthy and clean. I feel happy and proud!
Finally, it's time to go back to the waiting area. The hygienist gives me a sticker and tells me I did a great job. Mom and dad are waiting for me with big smiles on their faces. They tell me how proud they are of me for being brave at the dentist. I feel proud too! We say goodbye to the nice people at the dentist's office and leave.
