Hoxie the fox was a very small fox.
He had a very big wish.
"I wish I could ride a horse," he said with a sigh.
One day, Hoxie saw a sign.
"Horse Rides!" it said. "Come and see!"
Hoxie was so excited! He ran to see.
There, in a pen, was a big brown horse.
"Hello, horse!" said Hoxie. "Can I ride you?"
"Of course," said the horse. "Hop on!"
Hoxie was a little scared, but he got on.
The horse started to walk. "Clip, clop, clip, clop."
Hoxie held on tight. He was so happy!
They went up a hill and down a hill.
"Look at me!" shouted Hoxie. "I can ride a horse!"
Hoxie rode the horse all day long.
They went through the woods and by a lake.
Hoxie saw a duck and a fish and a bug.
"This is the best day ever!" said Hoxie.
Soon it was time to go home.
"Thank you, horse!" said Hoxie. "That was fun!"
"You're welcome," said the horse. "Come back soon!"
Hoxie went home, happy and tired.
He knew he would see his horse friend again soon.
