Kaizen and the Right Foods

Once upon a time, there was a grade school student named Kaizen. He loved to learn new things, especially about food. Kaizen knew that eating the right food was important for his health and happy life.

Kaizen learned that there are three main types of food: go, grow, and glow. Go foods give him energy to run and play, like rice, bread, and pasta. Grow foods help him grow taller and stronger, like chicken, beef, and eggs. Glow foods make his skin look nice and shiny, like fruits and vegetables.

Kaizen also learned that there are different nutrients in each food. Carbohydrates, like rice and bread, give him quick energy. Fats, like butter and oil, help protect his body. Proteins, like chicken and fish, help build his muscles. Vitamins, like those in fruits and vegetables, keep him healthy. And minerals, like calcium in milk, make his bones strong.

Every day, Kaizen tried to eat a variety of go, grow, and glow foods to stay healthy and happy. He knew that by choosing the right foods, he was giving his body the fuel it needed to run, grow, and shine!
