One sunny morning, Mia and her Mom were playing in the garden.
Mia pointed to her eyes and asked, 'What are these?'
Her Mom chuckled. 'Those are your eyes. They help you see the beautiful world.'
Mia touched her ears and wondered, 'And these, Mom?'
With warmth in her voice, Mom replied, 'Your ears, for hearing songs and laughter.'
Next, Mia wiggled her fingers and giggled, 'What about these?'
Her mom said, 'Those are your fingers; they let you touch and hold.'
Pointing to her nose, Mia sniffed, 'And this?'
Mom gently tapped it. 'Your nose, to smell flowers and the rain.'
Mia jumped and landed on her feet, asking, 'What are these for?'
Mom answered, 'Your feet to run, jump, and dance on your adventures.'
Mia hugged her Mom and whispered, 'Thank you for teaching me, Mom.'
Mom hugged back. 'Listening and learning is how we grow together.' And they watched the sunset.
