Once upon a time, in a colorful village, lived a girl everyone called Little Red Riding Hood. She got that name because she always wore a red cloak with a hood. One day, her Mother said, 'Please take these yummy cupcakes to Granny's house, but don't stray from the path!' Little Red Riding Hood promised to be careful and started her journey through the cheerful woods.
As she skipped along, she met her funny friend, Squirrel Nutkins, who was trying to juggle acorns. 'Look at me!' he squeaked. Little Red Riding Hood laughed and clapped. 'That’s great, Nutkins! But I can't stay. I have to deliver these cupcakes to Granny without being late!'
Deeper into the woods, Little Red Riding Hood found a path covered in pretty flowers. 'These would look lovely at Granny's,' she thought, and stepped off the path to pick a few. Suddenly, she heard a rustling behind her. 'Who's there?' she called out.
Out jumped a playful bunny with a big, fluffy tail. 'Hi, Little Red Riding Hood!' Bunny Boing Boing said. 'Do you want to play hopscotch?' Little Red Riding Hood giggled. 'Just one game,' she said. They drew squares on the ground and hopped happily.
After the game, Little Red Riding Hood suddenly remembered her promise to her Mother. 'Oh no, I must hurry!' she gasped. 'Goodbye, Boing Boing!' She ran back to the path and dashed toward Granny's house, her red hood flying behind her.
Finally, Little Red Riding Hood arrived at Granny's cozy cottage. She burst through the door, out of breath. 'Sorry, I'm late, Granny!' But Granny wasn't there. Instead, there was a pile of cupcakes already on the table, with a note: 'Dear Little Red Riding Hood, I baked extra today! Love, Granny.'
Just then, Granny came in, laughing with Mother behind her. 'We thought you might get distracted, Little Red Riding Hood,' Granny said with a wink. 'So we made sure to have plenty of cupcakes!' Little Red Riding Hood giggled and promised to stay on the path next time. And they all enjoyed a cupcake party together.
