In a green, lush pond, Little Turtle poked his head out of the water.
He felt lonely and wished for a friend to share his days with.
Little Turtle saw Duckling paddling by and asked, 'May we be friends?'
'Quack! I'm in a hurry to find my siblings, maybe another time!' said Duckling.
Feeling a bit sad, Little Turtle swam to the shore and spotted Frog.
'Would you like to be my friend?' Little Turtle asked.
'I'd love to, but today I'm teaching my tadpoles to leap,' replied Frog.
Little Turtle began to wonder if he'd ever find a friend.
When he returned to the pond, he spotted Fish swimming in circles.
Excitedly, he asked Fish, 'Would you like to play with me?'
'Oh, Turtle, I'm playing hide-and-seek. Join us!' Fish bubbled happily.
Little Turtle played all day, realizing he had made many friends at once!
