Louisa and Hobbes went into the woods. They saw a big tree.
Louisa said, 'Look, Hobbes!' They found a little bird in a nest.
The bird said, 'Cheep, cheep!' Louisa and Hobbes saw some ants on a log.
Hobbes thought, 'Ants are strong.' Louisa said, 'Yes, they work hard.'
Louisa and Hobbes walked on. They found a stream. Hobbes said, 'Water!'
Louisa saw pretty flowers. 'Nice!' she exclaimed. Hobbes wagged his tail.
Louisa found a blue rock. Hobbes found a yellow rock. 'We'll keep them,' Louisa said.
Louisa and Hobbes ran back. Louisa's mom asked, 'What did you see?'
Louisa said, 'We saw a bird, ants, flowers, a stream, and rocks.'
Hobbes barked. 'Wow, nice,' said Mom.
Hobbes looked at Louisa. Louisa giggled. They had an honest adventure.
