Madalena was a menina de 3 anos with curly blonde hair, chubby cheeks, and rosy cheeks. She loved her sparkly unicorn pajamas!
But oh! She had a fear, a fear quite strong, of witches in the night—she knew something was wrong!
“No, no witches!” she said with a pout, “They make me shiver, scream, and shout!”
One night, after a story, a big thud she heard, followed by a “Whoosh!” and the flap of a bird.
Madalena peeked out, all full of fright. She saw a witch, but something was right!
This witch wasn’t scary, she had a kind face, and she moved with a twirl, full of grace.
“Hello, Madalena!” said the witch with a grin, “I’m not here to bother, come on, let’s begin!”
The witch waved her wand, and sparkles filled the air, Madalena and she floated like they didn’t have a care.
Madalena giggled, “This is quite fun! Maybe witches aren’t scary, just look how we’ve spun!”
The witch waved goodbye, as dawn’s light grew near. “Always be brave, there’s no room for fear!”
Madalena smiled, her heart now light. She knew from that night, everything would be all right.
So if you’re scared, remember this tale, that courage and friends always prevail.
