In a village by a hill, lived Marigold so still, with brown hair flowing free—a lively girl at the age of ten plus three. She had not a thought for numbers or fractions, for math was her foe, and that’s just a fact, son!
“Oh, math!” she’d wail, with a frown on her face. “I’d rather weave tales, fly to space, or run a race!”
One day, as Marigold played by the creek, came a creature who was both quirky and sleek—a fox in green socks, who could talk with a twist, and wagged his tail as he started to list...
“I’m Felix the Fox, and I’m here to say, math can be fun if you do it my way! Numbers can dance and letters can sing, so join me, Marigold, in learning this thing!”
Marigold sighed, but her curiosity climbed. Could math, truly, be quite so refined? And so, off they went, with a skip and a hop, to the Land of Numbers, where they wouldn’t stop!
In this land, numbers were everywhere! Twirling on towers and swirling in air. There were castles of equations that shimmered like stars, and puzzles that turned into twinkling jars.
Felix led her to a field with flowers so bright, each petal a number, a colorful sight. He taught her to add as they picked them with care, making bouquets with precision and flair.
They wandered past rivers where fractions would float, in pies and in pizzas, even a boat! Marigold giggled as she learned to split, and realized math was more than just grit.
In Geometry Garden, shapes danced in lines, triangles, circles, and stars with bright shines. Felix showed her angles with the greatest of ease, Marigold spun round—math wasn’t a tease!
Then came a challenge, a test to be done, a puzzle that glimmered under the sun. Felix said, “Solve this, and you’ll understand: Math is a marvel, a kingdom so grand!”
Marigold thought, remembering the dance, the numbers, the fractions, each one a chance. With a flourish, she solved it, the puzzle’s glow grew. She marveled, “Oh, math, I think I like you!”
From that day forward, Marigold would say, “Math is like magic, in every single way!” With Felix by her side and her heart full of zest, she knew that with numbers, she could truly be blessed!
