In a jungle lush and green, lived a monkey most serene. He loved to swing from vine to vine, eating bananas – it was divine!
One day beneath a banyan tree, a croc swam up so sneakily. 'Hello there, monkey!' the crocodile said, 'Can we be friends? Want to share some bread?'
'Of course, dear croc!' the monkey did cheer, 'Sharing with friends brings so much cheer!' They sat by the river, that sparkling stream, munching on bread, like a dream!
With a splash, croc did declare, 'Let's explore the jungle, if you dare!' 'Ooh la la!' said the monkey with glee, 'Adventures are fun, let’s go and see!'
Through trees and bushes, they did stomp, over hills and through the swamp. They laughed and played all woodland games, calling out each other's names.
They found a tree with fruits so bright, pink and purple, what a sight! 'Taste this!' croc gave a fruit to the monkey, 'Like candy, it's yummy and funky!'
Suddenly they heard a frightful sound, a rumble and grumble from the ground. 'What's that?!' they asked, standing still, their adventure took a thrill!
A friendly elephant popped out, ‘Don’t be scared, give a shout! I shook the ground with my hefty stomp, let’s play and have a grand romp!'
With more friends, they played all day, their laughter echoed far away. The jungle danced, the trees did sway, in this fine world where friends all stay.
As the sun began to set, they shared stories without regret. ‘We’ll be friends forever more,’ they vowed near the river’s shore.
So if you ever hear them giggle, in the jungle where they wriggle, remember this tale of friends so true, who found joy in things so new.
For monkey and croc and elephant too, learned life’s much better when shared with you!
