Once upon a time, in a small village, there was a beautiful fish pond next to a lush rice field. The pond was home to many colorful fish. The rice field was green and wide.
Mali, a kind young girl, lived in a small house by the pond. She loved to feed the fish every morning with her grandfather, Aroon.
The fish would come to the surface, creating ripples in the water. 'Look, Grandpa! They're hungry!' Mali would say with a smile.
Aroon taught Mali how to take care of the rice plants. She learned to gently plant the rice and watch it grow.
One day, Mali noticed the water in the pond was lower than usual. 'Grandpa, what happened to our fish?' she asked.
Aroon looked worried. 'We need to check if the water pump is working,' he said. They both walked over to the old water pump.
The water pump was broken! 'Don't worry, Mali. We can fix it together,' said Aroon, trying to comfort her.
Mali handed Aroon the tools as they worked side by side. Slowly, the water started to flow back into the pond.
The fish swam up happily again. Mali clapped her hands and laughed, feeling proud that she helped save her fish friends.
As the days passed, the rice field grew greener. 'It's because we took good care of the water,' Aroon explained.
Mali understood that taking care of the pond was important for the fish and for the rice field.
She promised to always help Aroon and protect their little piece of paradise in the village.
