Pasin Kwanjui was a very, VERY bored boy. Not just regular bored, oh no, he was bored to the extreme!
His face was a frown, his shoulders slumped down, he dragged his feet with a 'thump, thump' sound.
"Boring, boring, boring," he'd moan all day long. "Everything's boring! Nothing is fun!"
He tried playing with blocks, building towers tall and grand, but even those tumbled down with a "boring" thud in the sand.
He tried reading a book, filled with dragons and knights so bold, but even their adventures couldn't chase away the boring cold.
One day, while dragging his feet and letting out a giant sigh, he met a little blue bird with a twinkle in her eye.
"Why the long face?" chirped the bird, tilting her head to the side. "You look like you've swallowed a lemon, rind and all, inside!"
Pasin, surprised, looked at the bird and for the first time in days, a tiny smile crept onto his face in a sunbeam's haze.
"I'm Pasin," he said, "and I'm terribly, awfully bored. I've tried everything, or so I thought, but nothing's worked, I'm ignored!"
"Nonsense!" chirped the bird. "Fun is everywhere, you see! You just need to know where to look! Come, fly with me!"
And so, Pasin, holding onto the bird's tiny feet, soared into the sky, a world of wonder to meet!
They flew through clouds of cotton candy, pink and blue, tasted raindrops that tasted like lemonade, brand new!
