Pepper the Penguin woke up with a start. It was a special day - the Holiday Parade Day!
He leaped out of bed and slid across the ice, singing, 'It's the parade, hooray, hooray! Today’s the magical holiday!'
Pepper put on his sparkly scarf and his big red boots. He was ready for the parade!
Outside, he met his friends - Finley the Fox, Lucy the Ladybug, and Betty the Bear. They all cheered, 'Hooray, hooray, it’s Holiday Parade day!'
The snowflakes fell like powdered sugar, and the air was filled with jolly jingles.
Sparkling floats appeared, one by one, each more dazzling than the last.
Pepper’s favorite float was shaped like a giant snowglobe. Inside, there was a magical winter wonderland!
As the parade went on, Pepper and his friends saw more wonderful sights. There were dancing gingerbread men, singing snowmen, and even a reindeer orchestra!
The crowd ooh-ed and aah-ed at the fantastic floats. Pepper felt his heart flutter with joy.
Suddenly, the final float arrived. It was Santa Claus! He waved and called out, 'Happy Holidays to all!'
Pepper’s friends hugged him tight, 'Best Holiday Parade Day ever!' they all shouted.
As the day ended, Pepper whispered, 'I can't wait for next year!' and fell asleep with a big smile.
