In a sunny yard, Pug dug in the dirt. His tail wagged fast.
Mia, a cat with a white paw, watched Pug. She felt left out.
Ben, a big dog, barked loud at Mia. She ran up a tree.
Pug saw Mia. He stopped digging. 'Why do you sit in the tree?'
Mia meowed, 'Ben scared me. I can't play in the yard like you.'
Pug thought hard. 'We can play here. It is safe.' He smiled wide.
Mia climbed down. Ben saw and padded over, ears back, sorry.
Pug said, 'We can all play. Let's make a game for three!'
Ben nodded. 'I can help Mia feel safe here.' Mia purred.
They played tag and hide and seek. Laughter and joy filled the air.
At sunset, three friends sat close. 'This was fun!' said Pug.
Mia and Ben agreed. 'Let's play again tomorrow,' Mia meowed softly.
