Ruby Red loved her red dress best. One bright morning, she put it on and danced out the door with a hop and a song.
She skipped to the forest, where trees as tall as towers whispered secrets to the breeze.
Ruby's goal was clear, to see her dear Grandmother near. Her basket was filled with goodies, sweet treats loved by all kiddies.
Along the way, Ruby met a rabbit, so quick, hopping in a magical tick-tick. 'Hello, little bunny! Where do you skitter so funny?'
The rabbit replied with a twitch of its nose, 'To Grandmother's house, everyone knows!'
Ruby giggled, 'Let's be on our way then, my furry friend! Together, to Grandmother's we'll wend!'
Suddenly, a rustling! A rustling! What could it be? Rustle-rustle, shuffle-shuffle, maybe it's a tree?
Out popped a squirrel, so chirpy and bright, with eyes like marbles, extremely light!
'I heard you’re visiting Granny? Why, I'll come too, she’s quite a nanny!' chattered the squirrel, tail twirling like a dancer's swirl.
Together they went, friends on a quest, through the forest, doing their best. They laughed and they sang, and the forest bells rang!
They arrived at the house of Granny, so sweet, sitting in her chair, knitting patterns so neat.
'Ruby, dear Ruby, come give me a hug! And look at the friends you've brought, snug as a bug!'
