Once upon a time, in a cozy little forest, there lived a playful squirrel named Sandy. It was winter time and the forest was covered in a soft white blanket of snow. Sandy loved to play in the snow, but there was something missing - all the nuts were frozen!

Sandy searched high and low, jumping from tree to tree, looking for the perfect nut. But every nut she found was as hard as a frozen basketball! 'Oh no!' Sandy cried. 'How will I ever have enough food for the winter?'

But Sandy was a smart little squirrel. She knew that with a little bit of patience, the nuts would eventually thaw out. So she carefully gathered all the frozen nuts and stored them in a special place.

Every day, Sandy would check on her nuts, making sure they were getting warmer and softer. She would tap them gently with her tiny paws, and slowly but surely, they started to thaw.

One sunny day, Sandy's patience paid off. The nuts were finally soft and delicious again! Sandy had plenty of food to eat throughout the winter.
