Once upon a time, in a land filled with gumdrop trees and marshmallow clouds, lived a dragon named Snowflake.
Now, Snowflake was a friendly dragon, with scales the color of blueberry ice cream and a heart full of sunshine.
But Snowflake had a teeny, tiny problem: he couldn't breathe fire. Every time he tried, all that came out were...SNOWFLAKES!
"Oh, dear," Snowflake sighed, a flurry of snowflakes swirling around his snout. "All the other dragons breathe fire! Why am I stuck with snow?"
He practiced and practiced, puffing and huffing, but the only thing that came out of his mouth was a blizzard of fluffy white flakes.
One day, Snowflake decided to visit the wisest creature in the land, Old Mama Owl, who lived in a giant oak tree on top of Whispering Mountain.
"Old Mama Owl," Snowflake said, his voice echoing in the mountain breeze, "Why can't I breathe fire like the other dragons?"
Old Mama Owl blinked her wise, golden eyes and chuckled, "Snowflake, my dear, you are special! You have the power to bring winter wonder wherever you go!"
Snowflake tilted his head, puzzled. "Winter wonder? But nobody likes winter! It's too cold!"
"That's where you're wrong, little one," Old Mama Owl hooted softly. "Winter is a time for cozy nights, snowball fights, and the most magical thing of all..."
"Snow days?" Snowflake's eyes widened in wonder. He had never thought of it that way before.
"Exactly!" Old Mama Owl hooted. "Now go, Snowflake, and spread some winter cheer!"
And Snowflake did just that. He flew over the land, showering it with his special snowy breath.
The children squealed with delight, building snowmen and having snowball fights. They laughed and played until their cheeks were as rosy as apples.
Snowflake realized then that Old Mama Owl was right. He was special! From that day on, Snowflake embraced his snowy breath and filled the land with winter joy.
