Once upon a time in a land so bright, lived two best friends, Dolly the Deer and Prit the Parrot. They loved to play all day and fly through the sky, making everyone smile as they soared so high. ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਚਮਕਦਾਰ, ਦੋ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਦੋਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਡੌਲੀ ਦਿ ਡੀਅਰ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਤ ਦਾ ਤੋਤਾ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਖੇਡਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਡਣਾ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਹਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਸਕਰਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਉੱਚੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ।

On this same day, another celebration called Bandi Chhor Divas was also happening. This day was special for Sikh friends. It was a day to remember a very important and kind person named Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਨੱਚ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀ ਜੋ ਧਮਾਕੇਦਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ! ਇਹ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ, ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਸੀ, ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਠਾਈਆਂ ਨਾਲ।

Excited they were for this joyous day, but they knew they had a role to play. To spread happiness and share the light, they flew to every home, oh what a sight! ਉਹ ਇਸ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਣੀ ਹੈ। ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਫੈਲਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਵੰਡਣ ਲਈ, ਉਹ ਹਰ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਡ ਗਏ, ਵਾਹ ਕੀ ਨਜ਼ਾਰਾ!

Then on Bandi Chhor Divas, as they played a fun game, they heard a cry and it wasn't the same. Some animals were stuck, oh what a plight, so they helped them out into the starry night! ਫਿਰ ਬੰਦੀ ਛੋੜ ਦਿਵਸ 'ਤੇ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਜ਼ੇਦਾਰ ਖੇਡ ਖੇਡੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਰੋਣਾ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਕੁਝ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਫਸ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਓਹ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਦੁਰਦਸ਼ਾ ਸੀ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਰਾਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ!

The friends felt proud as they looked back, knowing they were responsible and they didn't lack. Spreading happiness and helping those in need, they celebrated with joy, oh what a good deed! ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਾਣ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਮੁੜਦੇ ਸਨ, ਇਹ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਫੈਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਲੋੜਵੰਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾਏ, ਵਾਹ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਕੰਮ!

So kids, remember as you go to sleep tight, be responsible and spread happiness with all your might.
