Once upon a time in the peaceful town of Pawsington, there was a fluff ball named Whiskers. Whiskers wasn't where she usually napped.
Oliver, the owner, looked under the bed, behind the couch, and inside the closet. But no Whiskers.
He grabbed his detective hat and magnifying glass. It was time to think like Whiskers.
First stop: the kitchen. Whiskers loved treats. Oliver checked the treat jar, and it was untouched.
Scratching his head, Oliver jotted down a note, 'Treats still full. Odd.' He needed more clues.
Outside, he called for Whiskers. Only the whistle of the wind answered back.
By the fence, he found a tuft of fur caught on a nail. 'A clue!' he exclaimed, hoping she was nearby.
Following the trail, Oliver saw scratch marks on the dirt. They led to Mrs. Baker's garden.
Oliver knew Whiskers sometimes chased butterflies here. He started searching among the flowers.
Behind a large sunflower, Oliver spotted something moving. He tiptoed closer.
Surprise! A litter of kittens were playing. In the middle of them, there was Whiskers!
Turns out Whiskers had become a mom! Oliver was over the moon. The mystery was solved with a happy ending.
