Once upon a time, in a faraway village, there was a very small boy known as Little Thimble. He was the youngest of seven children in a poor family. Little Thimble was not only small in size but also had the biggest brain. He loved to think and solve problems.
One sad day, Little Thimble overheard his mom and dad talking. They had no more food, so they made a plan to leave all the children in the forest. Little Thimble was scared but had a clever idea. He filled his pockets with little white stones.
That night, as the moon shone brightly, Little Thimble's family walked deep into the forest. His parents said goodbye and left quickly. But Little Thimble wasn't worried—he dropped the stones along the way, making a shiny path to follow home.
Little Thimble and his brothers followed the moonlit stone path all the way back home. Their parents were surprised and happy to see them but were still worried about having no food. So they hugged them, thinking of what to do next.
Once again, the parents tried to leave the children in the forest. This time, Little Thimble didn't have stones, so he used bread crumbs instead. But some hungry birds followed them, eating all the crumbs. The children were lost with no path to follow.
Wandering through the woods, they found a big, scary house. An ogre lived there! He had big teeth and a loud roar. But Little Thimble wasn't just small; he was super smart. He tricked the ogre by switching everyone's hats while the ogre slept, so they could escape.
With the ogre still snoring, Little Thimble and his brothers sneaked out wearing the ogre's own magic boots! These boots could jump very far, so they hopped and skipped all the way back to their village. Little Thimble became a hero, and they all had a big feast!
