Once upon a time, in a bright and colorful playground, there was a little girl named Joy who always wore a big, sunny smile. She loved the slides the most, laughing as she zipped down.
Near the swings, there was a boy named Anger. He had a little red face because he often got upset when others didn't wait their turn. Today, someone cut in line, and his cheeks puffed out like a blowing volcano.
On the other side of the playground, Sadness sat by herself on a bench. Her soft blue eyes looked down, watching the trail of an ant. She felt lonely because her friend was sick and couldn't come play.
High up on the jungle gym, Courage climbed with bold moves. He wasn't afraid of anything. His eyes sparkled with adventure, and his strong grip never missed a bar. From up high, he saw everyone.
Suddenly, Anger's shout rang across the playground. He stomped over to Joy, who just wanted to make him laugh. "It's not fair!" he yelled. But Joy just giggled and showed him her favorite dance moves.
Hearing the noise, Sadness slowly walked over. Tears filled her eyes because she missed her friend, but she brought her favorite stuffed bunny to share. Courage jumped down and handed Anger a handkerchief to cool down.
Together, they all played a game of tag that made everyone laugh, even Anger. He liked being 'it' and chasing the others. Sadness smiled with her bunny, Joy clapped her hands, and Courage cheered them all on.
