Once upon a time in a quaint little farm, a clever goose named Glinda lived among the ducks and the cows. Unlike any other bird, Glinda had a secret!
Each morning, when the sun began to rise, Glinda would twist and twirl, her feathers all a-flutter, and out would pop a shiny, golden egg!
The farmer and his wife, amazed and amused, would cheer, ‘Hip, hip, hooray!’ and dance around the barn, giggling like school kids on a sunny day.
"Oh, what a goosey gift!" the farmer would say, clutching the golden egg close to his heart, ‘Our very own treasure, bright and smart!’
But jealous Jack, the grumpy goat, thought, ‘What a gander! I’ll steal that egg and be the golden goose commander!’
Late one night, while the world was aloft in slumber, Jack tiptoed into the barn, as quiet as a whisper.
With a BOOM, CRASH, BANG, he fell into the hay, waking the whole farm, and shattering the day! Glinda honked with fury, ‘Stop this deceit! My golden eggs are not yours to entreat!’
The farmer burst in, defensive and bold, ‘This egg is not yours, but my goose’s gold!’
Learning his lesson, poor Jack felt so blue, he apologized to Glinda and promised to be true.
From that day on, Glinda’s eggs shone as bright and beautiful as the sun, a reminder to love and share instead of hoarding one by one.
And so, on the little farm, happiness would gleam, with farmers and animals all living their dream.
Remember, dear children, the magic is in the heart where honesty and kindness always play their part.
