Once upon a time, there was a little ghost named Casper. Casper lived in the haunted house at the end of the street. He loved to watch the big ghosts scare people. They were so tall and spooky!
One day, Casper decided he wanted to be a scary ghost too. He wanted to give people a big fright, just like the bigger ghosts. So he practiced his ghostly wails and practiced floating through walls.
Casper tried and tried, but he just couldn't scare anyone. People would just smile and say, 'Oh, how cute!' That wasn't the kind of reaction Casper wanted. He wanted to make them run away in fear!
One night, Casper met an old owl who lived nearby. The owl was wise and said, 'Casper, scaring people isn't about being big or tall. It's about being friendly and kind. If you want to bring joy, not fear, be a friendly ghost!'
Casper thought about what the owl said. He realized he didn't have to be scary to make people happy. The next day, Casper threw a big scare-free party for all the kids in the neighborhood. They played games and laughed until their bellies hurt.
From that day on, Casper was known as the friendliest ghost in town. He would watch the bigger ghosts scare people, but instead of joining them, he would hand out friendly hugs and happy giggles.
And you know what? Everyone loved Casper's friendly scares even more! They didn't need to be scared to have fun. Casper showed them that kindness can be just as exciting as a spooky fright.
