Once upon a time, in a cozy farm nestled in the rolling hills, a tiny grey mouse scurried into the farmer's house, seeking a midnight snack of rice porridge.
As the mischievous mouse tip-toed through the kitchen, it encountered a jumble of pots and pans, which clanged and clattered noisily in the dark. The mouse quickly darted behind a sack of flour, heart pounding.
Feeling brave, the mouse crept closer to the delicious smell of the rice porridge. Suddenly, from the shadows, a pair of bright green eyes appeared – it was the farmer's tabby cat, Mittens!
Mittens, with her soft orange fur and sparkling green eyes, regarded the mouse with curiosity. Instead of pouncing, she purred and said, 'Hello, little mouse! Are you here for a snack too?'
The mouse, surprised by Mittens' kindness, smiled and replied, 'Yes, I was hoping for some rice porridge. But I don't want to cause any trouble.'
Mittens reassured the mouse, 'Don't worry, little friend. Let's share the porridge and become friends. We can learn a lot from each other!' So, together, they enjoyed a midnight snack and chatted about their adventures.
From that night on, the little mouse and Mittens had many more adventures together, always looking out for each other. They showed the farm animals that, no matter how small or different you are, true friendship and respect can bring everyone together in harmony.
