Once upon a time, in a sky very, very far away, a little star twinkled brightly every night. She loved to play hide and seek with the clouds and wink at the sleeping flowers below. But she had a big dream. Little Star wanted to see where the sun went every night.
Each morning, as the sun waved goodbye, Little Star decided she would follow it. But she always fell asleep and woke up at night. One evening, Little Star whispered her wish to the Moon, who smiled a wise, crescent smile, and offered to help.
The Moon gave Little Star a piece of his moonbeam. 'This will help you stay awake,' he said. So, with the moonbeam tied to her points, Little Star waited for the sun. As the sun started to leave, she followed, sailing across the sky.
She passed by her friend, the Milky Way, who sprinkled stardust on her for good luck. She flew past comets with tails like fiery dragons and dodged playful asteroids pretending to be race cars zooming around.
Soon, Little Star reached a place she’d never been. It was bright and wonderful, full of colors she didn’t have names for. The sun was there, taking a nap under a blanket of sunbeams. 'Hello!' said Little Star, but she was so tired, she started to fall asleep.
Just as she was dozing off, she felt a warm touch. It was the sun! 'I've heard about your journey,’ the sun said, and gave her a small sunbeam to help her stay bright, even during the day. With the sunbeam and the moonbeam, Little Star shone with a special glow.
Thrilled by her adventure and new gift, Little Star traveled back home. Now, every night, she shares her story with the other stars and twinkles differently, reminding them that with a little help and a lot of courage, dreams do come true.
