The Ten Sikh Gurus

Once upon a time, in a faraway land called Punjab, there lived ten special people known as the Sikh Gurus. These Gurus were wise and kind-hearted souls who spread love, peace, and unity among all people. Long ago, in a small village, a young boy named Amar was curious to know more about these extraordinary Gurus. Amar loved listening to stories before bedtime, so his grandfather decided to tell him one about the ten Sikh Gurus.

Long ago, in a small village, a young boy named Amar was curious to know more about these extraordinary Gurus. Amar loved listening to stories before bedtime, so his grandfather decided to tell him one about the ten Sikh Gurus.

Grandfather began, "Once upon a time, there was a Guru named Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He was born in 1469 and believed in the importance of kindness and equality among all people, regardless of their backgrounds. Guru Nanak Dev Ji traveled far and wide, teaching everyone about love and honesty." Amar's eyes widened with wonder, and he sat up eagerly, asking, "Who was the next Guru, Grandpa?"

Grandfather smiled and said, "The second Guru was Guru Angad Dev Ji. He continued Guru Nanak Dev Ji's teachings and introduced a new method of writing called Gurmukhi, making it easier for people to read and understand." Curious Amar continued his questions, "What about Guru Amar Das Ji, Grandpa?"

"Ah," said Grandfather, "Guru Ram Das Ji, the fourth Guru, continued the legacy of his predecessors. He established the holy city of Amritsar and constructed the world-famous Golden Temple, where people of all faiths came together to seek peace." Amar's eyes sparkled, "Tell me about Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Grandpa!"

Grandfather continued, "Guru Arjan Dev Ji compiled the writings of previous Gurus into a book called the Sri Guru Granth Sahib. This sacred text became the eternal Guru of the Sikhs and provided guidance to anyone seeking wisdom." Amar's curiosity grew with each story, "Who is the sixth Guru, Grandpa?"
