Once upon a time, in a land so cool, it was the first day of school!

Tommy the Tortoise and Sally the Snail, friends since they could remember, were nervous but excited as they clutched their tiny, shiny backpacks.

With a hop, skip, and jump, they entered the school with a thump!

Inside, they met Mr. Owl, wise and old, who told them stories that glittered like gold.

"Welcome, welcome, my new friends," he said. "Today's a day of fun that never ends!"

Suddenly, they heard a loud, joyful 'Hooray!' It was Penny the Pig who loved to play.

Bounce and bumble, in came Harry the Hare, who hopped high with joy floating in the air.

Learning their ABCs with a rhythmic dance, the day was joyful, like a fairy-tale trance.

"Choo-choo!" went the learning train, full steam ahead, through the knowledge plain.

Recess time was a everyone’s treat. They played tag and hide-and-seek, oh, so fleet!

With the day's end, and their hearts all aglow, they realized how much they had grown.
