In a pond not too far away, on a sunny, shiny day, a duckling named Quacky Quack cracked from his egg with a hearty 'quack-quack!' But oh, what a shock! He wasn't like the rest—his feathers a mess!
Round the pond he waddled wide-eyed and bold, but every critter he met thought he looked rather old. With his scraggly feathers and gangly feet, Quacky Quack could give quite a scare to whomever he'd meet!
The fish in the pond giggled with a splash. The frogs sang a song, and the turtles made a dash. 'Look at Quacky Quack!' they'd chime, 'His feathers look like leftover slime!'
Quacky Quack felt blue, not knowing what to do. He wished and wished for feathers that gleamed, and oh, how he dreamed! He waddled and whimpered, 'I’m just too plain, even the rain looks better than me.'
Then came a fairy, shining bright, with wings like rainbows, a colorful sight. She waved her wand with a sparkle and a twirl. 'Dear Quacky Quack, I’ll help you, let’s give it a whirl!'
With a swoosh and a swish from her wand made with care, Quacky Quack's feathers gleamed with a flare. But magic as fine as this came with a twist—he couldn't swim, not even a bit!
Quacky Quack splashed around in dismay, ‘If I can’t swim, then how can I play?’ Heaving a sigh, he looked to the sky, deciding to be himself—on that he'd rely.
He shook his feathers and danced with delight, singing, 'I’m unique, I’m truly just right!' His waddles were wiggly, his quacks were quite loud. He splashed in the pond and felt awfully proud!
The animals watched, their eyes open wide. 'Look at Quacky Quack! He's happy inside.' They joined in his fun, they quacked and they leaped. 'You are perfect, our own! No reason to weep.'
From that day on, Quacky Quack never felt blue. He was happy as he was—true through and through. With friends all around, laughter surrounding everywhere, he knew he was special—this he would share.
So if you ever feel a bit out of place, remember Quacky Quack and his smiling face. Be yourself, and always be true, because there’s no one other quite like you!
And thus ends the tale on this bright, sunny day, of Quacky Quack who found his way. He learned to love his own special flair, and now he spreads joy everywhere!
