Once upon a sunny meadow, a little lamb named Lily grazed on soft, green grass.
Nearby, hidden behind a bush, a sly wolf watched her with keen interest.
The wolf slowly approached her, thinking of a cunning plan.
Lily saw the wolf and felt scared, but she stood brave and still.
"Why are you here?" asked Lily. "I mean no harm," lied the wolf with a sly grin.
The wolf offered to be friends, thinking to trick Lily into trusting him.
Lily thought hard. "Friends should trust each other. Can I trust you?" she asked.
While they were talking, a shepherd came over the hill and saw them together.
The wolf, afraid of getting caught, ran away into the thick woods.
Lily thanked the shepherd. "I knew his friendship was not true," she said.
From that day, Lily promised to always trust her instincts about others.
The animals in the meadow learned to be wary, but always kind and fair to each other.
