Gertie's Grand Day
Gertie, the gentle giraffe, loved to play. She met her pals Sandy the snail and Zoe the zebra by the tree. They wanted to slide and glide. “Weeee!” they said as they slid down the leafy, green hill. Gertie giggled, “That was grand!” They walked to the pond, where ducks dabbled and swam. The day was sunny and perfect for fun. Sandy sighed, “Let’s splash!” So, they did. Splash, splash, splash! Wet and happy, they sang songs and danced. “This is the best day!” said Zoe. With smiles and giggles, Gertie and her friends played till the soft sunset.
