Sam and Pam's Hill Adventure
Once upon a time, in a land both near and far, there was a cat. His name was Sam. Sam was as fat as a pot, with a big red dot on his hip. He was a cat of fun and joy. "I am Sam!" he would say. "I am the fun cat on this hill!"
Sam had a mate, her name was Pam. Pam was a sly and slim cat, with a tip-top hat on her head. She was as slick as a fox, and just as sly. "I am Pam!" she would say. "I am the sly cat on this hill!"
One day, Sam and Pam ran into a jam. A big rat had set up his den in their hill. "This will not do!" said Sam. "We shall not let this rat rob us of our hill."
"Yes, it shall not be," said Pam. "We both must do what we can to rid our hill of this rat."
So, Sam and Pam set out to do just that. Sam had a bat, and Pam had a trap. They both went from this end to that. But the rat was too quick for them. He ran here and there, and was not caught in the trap, nor hit by the bat.
"What should we do?" asked Sam. "I want our hill back."
"We should not go on like this," said Pam. "We must think, not just run and hit."
So, Sam and Pam sat and thought. They came up with a plan. They would trick the rat into the trap. They got some ham and put it into the trap.
The rat, as it turns out, was a big fan of ham. He ran into the trap to get it. And just like that, Sam and Pam had their hill back.
"We have done it!" said Sam. "We have got our hill back!"
"Yes, we have," said Pam. "And we did it by thinking, not just running and hitting."
So, Sam and Pam went back to their fun and sly ways. They ran and jumped on their hill, and they were glad. For they had won their hill back, and had learned that they can do much when they think and plan.
And that was the tale of Sam and Pam, the fun and sly cats on the hill. They had a jam, but they did not give up. They both thought and planned, and they got their hill back. And they lived on their hill, as happy as can be.
