Once upon a time, in a town where things were mostly normal, there was a little boy named Danny. Today was not a normal day, though, because today, Danny was going to school with his best friend, who just happened to be a dinosaur named Dexter!

Danny and Dexter had met one sunny day in the park. Dexter was different; he was green with big, gentle eyes and loved to play hide and seek. But today, they were playing a new game: schooltime adventure!

As they walked to school, Danny was a little worried. 'What if the other kids don’t like you?' he said to Dexter. Dexter just smiled his giant dino smile and said, 'Don't worry, we'll have a roaring good time!'

When they arrived, the schoolyard was filled with amazed stares and giggles. Danny held Dexter’s tail as they walked into class. The teacher, Mrs. Maple, couldn’t believe her eyes. 'Class, we have a very big guest today!' she exclaimed.

Dexter was too big for the desks, so he sat by the window with the sun warming his scales. He helped with math by showing everyone his big toes to count on, and in art, he used his tail to paint a huge mural of the playground.

Lunchtime was the best part. Dexter shared his giant dino sandwiches, and they played tag where Dexter was it. No one could outrun his long legs, but he was always gentle not to step on anyone.

At the end of the day, everyone thanked Dexter for the best school day ever. Danny wasn’t worried anymore; Danny and Dexter walked home talking about all the fun they had. And the next day, Dexter would be right there in Danny's backyard, ready for another adventure.
