The zombie cheer squad's routine was impressive. They did flips, cartwheels, and even a pyramid formation. Their zombie growls added a spooky touch that had the crowd on the edge of their seats.
Then it was Khori and her Texas Twisters' turn. They started with a high-energy cheer, and then Khori shouted, "What's 5 plus 5?" The crowd yelled, "10!" and the squad did a ten-person pyramid. They continued to incorporate math problems into their routine, dazzling the audience with their smarts and skills.
Finally, the judges announced the scores. The zombie cheer squad had a near-perfect score, but Khori and her Texas Twisters had won by just one point! The crowd erupted in cheers.
But then, the head zombie cheerleader said, "We may have lost, but we had so much fun! Can we still be friends and maybe even do a joint routine for Christmas?" Khori smiled and said, "Of course! Friendship is the real win here."
And so, the zombies didn't turn the town into more zombies, but they did win something more valuable: friendship and a sense of community. From then on, the zombie cheer squad and the Texas Twisters became the best of friends, performing joint routines and spreading cheer, both human and zombie, throughout the town.
