The scarecrow received a diploma for wisdom, the tin woodman a ticking heart-shaped clock, and the lion was given a medal for bravery. As for Dorothy, the Wizard promised to help her return home using a magical hot air balloon set to depart from the Emerald City. With teary goodbyes and heartfelt embraces, Dorothy bid her friends farewell and embarked on her journey back to Kansas. As she soared through the sky in the hot air balloon, she watched the mesmerizing landscape of Oz disappear beneath her.
