Once upon a time, under the sunny sky so blue, workers buzzed around, building a road anew. Among them was Sam, a worker so bright, known for his strength and his heart full of light.
One day as Sam worked, the sun was so warm, he found a cool spot, quite hidden from harm. His eyelids grew heavy, the world spun so slow, and soon he was dreaming, with faces aglow.
In his dream, oh so strange, was a python so big, with scales like jewels, and eyes that could Jig! 'Hiss, hiss,' she said with a graceful sway, 'I need seven days, to bring life my way.'
'Please, dear friend,' she pleaded with grace, 'Allow me this time, to find my safe place. For in my belly are babies galore, seven wee pythons and maybe some more!'
Sam awoke with a start, his heart thumping loud, like a drum on parade, that attracted a crowd. 'Foreman, oh foreman,' Sam did declare, 'I had a wild dream, of a python so rare!'
But the foreman, tall and jolly with a grin, waved his hand saying, 'Oh Sam, it’s a dream so thin!' He shrugged and chuckled, his belly did shake, 'It’s just a dream, not a wish we should take.'
Sam felt a bit sad, couldn’t ignore the request, of the python who'd spoken like a honored guest. Yet back to work he went, with doubts in his mind, wondering if the python was real, and if she'd be kind.
Days turned to weeks, and the road stretched far, as wide as the field, as long as a star! Yet Sam always looked where the dream had appeared, hoping for a sign, his heart slightly cheered.
One bright morning, under dew's gentle hold, Sam saw something twinkling, something quite bold. Amidst the grass where his dream had spun, was a swirly pattern, winking in the sun.
Sam smiled wide, with a heart full of glow, convinced that his dream was more than just a show. Perhaps in the world, or at least in this place, magic was slithering softly, keeping pace.
And so the road continued through the land, with stories of magic from workers, so grand. And whispers would tell of a python so wise, asking kindly for time, under sunny skies.
Sam learned that dreams, with whispers of wishes, carry more power than shimmering dishes. For kindness and patience make magic so true, and perhaps that’s a lesson for me and for you.
