In a land far, far away, where the sun smiles all day, a troop of tiny, jolly soldiers set out to play. 'Hup, two, three, four! To the pond, we’ll explore!' they sang with glee.
The pond, mirror-clear, sparkled bright. It was here that the fun began in the light. Frogs sang a croaky tune, while dragonflies zoomed like tiny helicopters.
Captain Rhythm led the way, with a hop and a sway. His voice as scratchy as a snare drum, he hollered, 'To the pond, we must come!'
Splishy-splash went the water as they dove in together. 'Splosh, splish, splash!' The pond was their water wonderland.
Under the willow’s weep, the soldiers laughed and leaped. Golden fish darted like shimmering stars, while a wise old turtle watched as if a guard.
Sergeant Silly, round and chubby, juggled pebbles, saying, 'Wobble, wobble, I’m bubbly!' as the breeze chuckled through leaves.
Lieutenant Laughter sang loudly, 'Look at the lilies!' as water lilies waved, turning the pond into a colorful palette.
A chorus of quacks echoed through the air, as ducks in line joined the soldier’s square. 'Quack-quackity-quack!'
'Oh, what a merry day!' they all would say. Butterflies clapped their wings like tiny, fluttering fans.
As the sun began to yawn, the soldiers knew they'd have to be gone. 'Hup, two, three, four! Back to camp, but never a bore!'
The frogs sang a lullaby, soft and slow. 'Come back soon,' they seemed to croon, beneath the stars’ gentle glow.
The soldiers whispered, 'Sleep tight, dear pond, until next night!' And with the day’s end, they'd already begun to dream of their joyful jaunt again.
