Once upon a time, in a lovely green meadow with flowers and tall trees, there lived a little mouse named Miss. She had bright eyes and a bushy tail. Miss loved to flutter around on her tiny feet, dancing and playing from sun up till sun down.
One fine morning, while Miss twirled in a dance, she spied something shiny on the soft, grassy ground. It was a pretty cent! Miss squeaked with joy because finding a cent was very rare for a little mouse.
Miss dreamed of buying a beautiful dress, the color of dandelion fluff. Holding her cent tightly, she scampered along a path lined with daisies and buttercups, excited about her special find.
On her way, Miss heard someone weeping. It was her sister, Squeak, who was usually very happy. Squeak had lost her press–a little tool to flatten leaves for art–which made her very sad. Together, they decided to search for it.
Miss and Squeak looked high and low, under leaves and over hills. After a long search, they found the press hiding under a wooden cross in the meadow. Squeak's whiskers wiggled with happiness!
The sky above the meadow started to fill with stars, and the sun went to sleep. Miss and Squeak, knowing it was late, hurried back to their cozy burrow, nestled under an old oak tree.
Before snuggling into their tiny beds, Miss and Squeak sat in a circle of their mouse family, sharing their adventure. They giggled and nibbled on cheese, feeling glad together. After a day so full, they closed their eyes to happy dreams.
