Today is the first day, and it's going to be great! Luísa Elita couldn't wait through the gate.

With a hop, skip, and jump, she bounced down the path, to find her new classroom and hear her teacher's laugh.

She met Miss Flibberti with a bow and a grin. 'Welcome, dear Luísa, come right on in!'

The room was so grand, with books stacked, pictures on the Wall and a bright sunny sky.

Luísa found a small desk, just her size. She sat and waited for the first surprise.

Suddenly, clap! clap! the classroom all shifted, and Luísa felt her excitement get lifted.

'Welcome our new friend!' the class cheered in rhyme, 'Glad that you're here, you're just in time!'

Then Miss Flibberti said, 'Let's all take a journey, to lands far and near, to learn and not worry.'

In their imaginations, they sailed on a ship, to islands of treasure, a grand field trip.

They danced with dolphins and sang with the trees, whirled up in adventure, feeling the breeze.

Back in the classroom, with minds full of wonder, they learned that together, there's magic to ponder.

Luísa smiled wide with thoughts aglow, her first day at school was the best – don't you know?
