Once upon a sunny street, there lived a dog named Banana. He was no ordinary pup; his love for bananas was unmatched. Every morning, he'd eagerly await the fruit truck, watching it turn the corner with his tail wagging.
Banana's coat was as golden as the sun, and he lived in a house painted yellow to match. His owner, Lily, would often find him munching on a banana, leaving the peels all around.
On the other side of the road lived Lily's friend Sarah, who had a pond with the liveliest frogs. Banana loved to watch them, especially when they leaped and played in the afternoon sun.
One day, Banana saw five frogs hopping about. His eyes sparkled with excitement, but he knew the road was busy, and he needed to be careful.
Suddenly, Banana had an idea. He would use banana peels to tally how many times the frogs hopped. One day he saw a frog hop twice. How many hops did he tally that day?
As days passed, Banana perfected his counting. He placed a banana peel on the ground for each hop. If he saw two frogs hop three times each, how many peels did he lay out?
Lily noticed Banana's banana peels pile growing. She decided to make a chart on the fence to help. If Banana placed three peels for the first frog, two for the second, and one for the third, how many peels were there in all?
One afternoon, Banana decided to make the game trickier. He tripled the peels for one frog's hops, doubled for another's, and kept single peels for the third. If there were 3, 2, and 4 hops respectively, how many peels did he use?
The frogs seemed to enjoy Banana's company and started to hop towards him. But before they could reach the road, Banana learned to count out loud, 'One, two, three...' to keep them safe.
Banana became so good at math, he started teaching the frogs. They would hop once for 'yes' and twice for 'no'. When Banana asked if they liked bananas, how many hops do you think they made?
Lily was proud of Banana's new skills. She organized a 'Math Day' where neighborhood kids came to solve Banana's hopping puzzles. They learned that math could be fun and that safety always comes first.
And so, with his love for bananas and his new role as a counting coach, Banana became the most beloved dog on the sunny street. The end.
