Percy the Pelican and the Power of Saving

Once upon a time, in a sunny beach town, there lived a pelican named Percy. Percy loved to fly high in the sky and dive into the sparkling ocean to catch fish. But one day, Percy noticed that there were fewer and fewer fish to catch. 'Oh no!' said Percy, 'I must find out why and do something about it.'

Percy flew to the library and spoke to Ms. Wise Owl. She told him, 'Percy, the ocean is getting warmer, and the fish are moving to cooler places. They need your help.'' Percy listened carefully and felt sad for his fishy friends.

Percy had an idea! He started to save the fish that he caught but didn't eat. He put them in a big bucket and hid them in a cool, shady spot. 'I will save these fish for the times when I can't find any in the ocean!' Percy said with determination.

Days went by, and soon, the ocean was almost empty of fish. Other pelicans were hungry and sad. But Percy always had fish to eat from his secret stash. He shared his saved fish with his friends and taught them how to save too.

As time passed, the ocean started to get cooler again, and the fish came back. Percy was happy to see his ocean friends returning. From that day on, Percy and his pelican friends always saved some fish for hard times. They learned that by being responsible and saving, they could help each other and the ocean too!
